What is your pet policy? The Legacy would love to have your pets at our Carmel apartment community! We have no restrictions on breed or size for dogs, but there is a 2-pet maximum with a non-refundable fee as well as a monthly pet rent for pet owners. Can I pay my rent online? Absolutely! To log into our current Resident portal in order to pay your rent or put in a maintenance request, view our Resident Info page. What school district are you in? The Legacy is served by Carmel Clay Schools, which includes Prairie Trace Elementary, Clay Middle School, and Carmel High School. Can current Residents break their lease? Yes. There is a charge of $3,000 in order to break the lease at any time, which will be lowered to $1,500 with a 60 day notice. Do you require a credit check? Yes, The Legacy and all other J.C. Hart apartment communities necessitate a credit check to be run during the application process. Is there a fee to apply? Yes. An administrative fee of $250 per apartment is required that goes to the application, background screening, and processing charges related to renting a new apartment. Do you offer special discounts for students, elderly Residents, or military members? J.C.
